Cartoon Cover Reads written by Indie Christian Authors
My passion and purpose since I’ve began my authoring journey is to create stories that contain Christian characters, morals, and values while still addressing sin and real-life problems, situations, and conflicts. I wanted to write stories that could be enjoyed by everyone regardless of their faith, but I specifically didn’t want to shy away from including my faith in my books. I’m not the only one doing this, so I wanted to highlight some Christian authors who write perfectly hilarious, swoony, and heartfelt stories that do not shy away from their faith.
I’ve included one book per author featured, but if you love their story, be sure to check out their other works! Let’s make faith-filled romance great by supporting Christian authors who are writing great stories!

After losing his dream job and falling victim to a tainted reputation, Jameson (Jamie) Griffin is more than grateful for a move to a new city when he inherits his grandmother’s house. Optimistic about the change of scenery and, hopefully, friendly new neighbors, Jamie dedicates his free time to writing a memoir of how he went from rebel to redeemed. The Dating Game
Love does not dishonor others….supposedly.
Brooke Garza only made a dating bet in an effort to help her widowed best friend Sydney find love again. All she had to do was prove that she could date the same guy for three months, then bam! Sydney would have to go on three first dates of Brooke’s choosing. But when a karaoke duet with a near stranger gets out of hand, her boyfriend—and the subject of the aforementioned bet—breaks up with her, leaving her at the mercy of Sydney. In a faux display of magnanimity, Sydney offers her a bet redo— on one condition: she gets to pick Brooke’s next boyfriend.
Enter Will Barrett, her karaoke partner. Correction: her very attractive karaoke partner. Dating him for a couple of months might not be so bad…or will it?
Because Will doesn’t seem to be the same magnetic guy she danced and sang with onstage. He’s self-centered, inconsiderate, and sort of a slob. Brooke is no longer sure she can last a week as his girlfriend, let alone three months.
As for Will…well, he might just be playing a dating game of his own. Of course, games for two usually end with both players losing their hearts. -

Head Over Wheels
Love and Marriage… and a Suite Heart Carriage
I’ve got this theory: Cutting hair is much like forging an unbreakable bond, sealed on small-town gossip and sacred vows of monogamy. That devotion is one of the reasons I’ve felt anchored to the small town of Honey Hill, and my loyal clients, in favor of someplace new. It’s also why I refuse to cut my long-time best friend’s hair. Because, for me, cutting Owen’s hair is a forever thing. And I know, better than most, forever has an end date.
Owen Jones also happens to be my number one reason for staying in this town where I’ve never quite felt at home. Knowing it’s only a matter of time before Owen’s baseball career starts to take off and he leaves me behind, I take a chance on my ticket out of Honey Hill: a reality gameshow with a life-changing grand prize.
But if I want to win, I’ll have to recite life-changing vows far more significant thana haircut.
-----------------------There are a few certainties in my life: I’ve always wanted to play in the Major Leagues, I’ve never doubted my family’s love or support in that pursuit, and I know, regardless of where life takes me, I want Brooke McBride by my side. The only problem is, despite the connection we’ve always had, Brooke’s afraid to admit she wants a future with me, too.
Just when I think I’m about to reach one of my goals, a potentially career-ending injury wipes me out for the season. Though I could lose my shot at the Majors, this massive curveball might be the opportunity I’ve been waiting for: a chance to make a major commitment to the woman I’ve quietly loved for our entire friendship.
If playing a game is how I’ll finally convince my best friend to give us a chance at a future together, I’m ready to step up to the mound for the most important pitch of my life.

Faded Jeans and pfannkuchen
Sometimes coming home means homemade pfannkuchen, matchmaking, and one very judgmental moose.
Jo
Turns out, living someone else’s dream isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.Shocking, right?
After six years chasing her mother’s dream of country music stardom in Nashville, Jolene Pearson has called it quits—and come crawling back to Moose Lick, Alaska. Now she’s wondering what her dream is. Could it be as simple as settling down with her best friend’s handsome brother and singing on the church worship team? Noah
Noah Gromotka has it pretty good. His food ministry is thriving, his soccer game is solid, and he makes a mean German pancake. All he’s missing is someone to share breakfast with.
He did not expect that someone to be his sister’s best friend—the same girl who once got caught stealing her Mamaw’s pie and blaming it on a squirrel. But Jo’s all grown up, and baking pies of her own. Pies Noah’s mama deems “man-catching”. . . whatever that means.

The Inn Dilemna
The last thing I expected to do when I returned home after years away was fall for my brother’s best friend.
Nova:
I left my small town four years ago and didn’t look back. When I return with my tail between my legs after breaking up with my controlling yet commitment-fearing boyfriend, I’m surprised by the warmth I find at The Storybook Inn. The owner, Aunt Birdie, embraces me with open arms and gives me a place to stay when my dad turns me away. Unfortunately for me, Dad is more stubborn than ever. He still thinks my dream of becoming a great artist is too far-fetched to be possible and maybe it is. But if I’ve learned anything in this last year, it’s that God’s plans won’t be thwarted. Something that proves true when God uses an accident at Storybook Inn to facilitate Aunt Birdie’s dream.
Holt:
The Navy SEALs prepared me for a lot of things, but moving back to my small town with a well-meaning meddling aunt is not one of them. Aunt Birdie wastes no time playing matchmaker when she sends me to a cabin to fix an alleged leaky faucet without telling me it’s inhabited by my best friend’s gorgeous prodigal sister. Nova and I are both coming out of painful break-ups, a whirlwind romance is the last thing either of us wants. But falling for her is inevitable when she jumps in to renovate my family’s legacy, The Storybook Inn, without hesitation. With every bike ride we go on, every room we renovate together, every accidental touch, I can’t help but dive headfirst into the whirlwind anyway.
Until one “fake kiss” threatens to destroy us both.

The Relationship Remodel
This is not a road trip…this is torture.
Reese:
Even after earning my eighteen-month sobriety chip, I’m still a walking disaster. Whenever I get my feet under me, life tackles me to the ground, making sure everyone in Rocosa has a front row seat to the Reese Humiliation Show. So imagine my surprise when my brother entrusts me with one of the most important parts of his wedding—organizing the honeymoon.
For once, I’m not going to screw things up. It’s a simple task: catch an overnight bus to Texas, pick up a vintage RV, drive it back home to Colorado, and renovate it before the wedding. Except life throws one more wrench into the works. My brother’s bossy friend insists on tagging along for the ride. The same man I’ve been too embarrassed to speak to since he saved my life last year.
Tristen:
There’s no sugarcoating it—I’ve found myself in a rut managing my uncle’s sports bar day after day. Desperate for change, I started narrating audiobooks, which has unexpectedly landed me a lucrative voice-acting gig in Los Angeles.
But I refuse to leave until I solve the frustrating puzzle that is Reese Brooks, my ex-friend who can’t spend five minutes in my presence without bolting like I have the plague. Before I finally give up and accept my new job, an opportunity presents itself in the form of a rickety old camper. Maybe one last renovation is what we need to fix our friendship…or whatever this thing is between us.
